Love to play tennis?
We know that as someone who benefits from the Tennis Programming at Champions for Life, you value the ability to play tennis year round. Did you know that CFL offers the only public, indoor tennis in Cayuga County? Can you imagine if you had to drive to Syracuse or Rochester every time you wanted to play tennis?
At Champions for Life, children and adults of all ages are welcome to learn and grow to love the game of tennis. Friendly competition through league play and instruction at lessons and clinics is offered to those who seek to have fun and exercise while enjoying the camaraderie that is unique to tennis. And we always offer scholarships to children who want to learn to play tennis but don’t have the means to do so.
Our efforts this past year have led to the installation of new, state-of-the-art lighting from LED4Sports, a lighting company who works with tennis courts across the country and in Europe to provide the best, most energy efficient, and most like daylight lighting out there. If you haven't already stopped in to see the new lights, come out and visit!
We've gotten three quotes on refinishing the floors, and are going to be able to complete the project for under $25,000. We've applied for funding from some local foundations, and are hoping to have an answer from them in the coming weeks. However, we are certain we'll need to raise some significant money to have the project completed in time for this season. We'll keep you posted, but in the meantime, please consider a donation towards this project.
Want to help? You can do so by clicking on one of the boxes below and donating online, at the level you feel comfortable with, or you can write a check to Champions for Life and drop it off or mail it in. We'll even take a credit card donation over the phone or in person. Please note that this is a tennis specific donation, and every dollar of your donation will be directed toward this project. All donors will appear on the walls outside the courts, and all will know the commitment you've made to tennis and to your club. Of course, if you prefer to remain anonymous, that is absolutely fine, and we will accommodate you and your preferences.
