For more than 25 years, Demetrius has built an outstanding career in community banking, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor and relationship builder. During his tenure with Lyons National Bank, he played an instrumental role in establishing and growing the bank's presence in Cayuga County as Vice President/ Branch Manager. Today, as Vice President /Business Development Officer, he continues to foster meaningful partnerships that strengthen local businesses, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and the communities they serve.
Demetrius has always believed that true leadership extends beyond the workplace. His passion for giving back is reflected where he served or serves on numerous boards and committees, including the Auburn High School Sports Boosters Hall of Fame Committee, East Hill Medical Center, the E. John Gavras Center, Chapel House, Nick's Ride 4 Friends, Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP), Cayuga/Cortland Workforce Investment Board, the City of Auburn Micron Housing Committee, and the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Through these organizations, he has worked tirelessly to create opportunities, improve lives, and strengthen the future of our region.
A graduate of the University at Albany, SUNY, Demetrius holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has combined his education with decades of professional experience to become a respected leader throughout Cayuga County and Central New York.
While his professional accomplishments are significant, Demetrius considers his greatest achievement to be his family. He and his wife, Beth, have been happily married for 26 years and are the proud parents of three children—Braxton, Helena, and Dejah. Whether Coaching or cheering from the sidelines or spending time together, family has always been the foundation of his life. Their shared love of lacrosse and commitment to one another reflect the values that guide him every day: faith, integrity, perseverance, and service.
Those who know Demetrius know him as someone who leads with humility, builds relationships with sincerity, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. His unwavering commitment to his profession, his family, and his community exemplifies the very spirit of faith, leadership and service.
