When we learned of Londyn Humphrey’s passing, like all who knew her, we were so very sad, for our loss, for her incredibly family, and most especially for her mom and dad and sisters.  Londyn and her sister Arden have taken gymnastics at Champions for Life for a couple of years. Both Arden and Londyn were wonderful to have in class, loved doing the “dragon dance” with Ms. Sherri, jumping on the trampoline, and working on their tumbling skills. Like so many others in our community, we too searched for something we could do to honor this little girl’s memory, something that might give some measure of comfort to a grieving family.

When Aunt Donna came to us with an idea, we were glad to be able to help.

Champions for Life has always had a scholarship fund – one of the pillars of our organization is that anyone who wants to participate in programming will be able to participate, no matter their economic circumstances. However, until now, it’s just been the scholarship fund.

We are proud to announce that the CFL Scholarship Fund will now be known as the Londyn Humphrey Scholarship Fund. Children and their families are welcome to apply for a Londyn Humphrey scholarship, which, if approved, will pay for all or part of their programming fee for any sport or other programming offered by CFL.

We’d like to think that Londyn would like knowing lots of kids would get to do gymnastics, or play soccer, or go to camp because of her. We will miss you an awful lot, Londyn, but we were so glad we got to know you while you were here.
