Family Support Services Recreation Program

CFL’s Recreational Program brings people with developmental disabilities together with direct support professionals for fun and exercise at the Champions for Life Sports Center and Everest Park.

Explore our gym and play on our gymnastics equipment, kick the soccer ball around in the arena, or learn to play tennis! Other possible activities include power soccer (through CNY United), games, arts and crafts, lacrosse, and much more!

Our one on one mentoring program matches your family member with a mentor, who, together with you and your family member, tailors a program just for your family member, for their needs and abilities. Activities can focus on skill-building, fitness, coordination, or socialization, but are always FUN!

If your family member is eligible for Family Support Services through OPWDD, he or she is eligible for this program. To apply, you will need a completed application form and proof of eligibility from OPWDD/FSS. Not sure if you're eligible? We can check for you if you have a TABS ID number. No TABS number? We encourage you to call the Central New York Front Door Contact number at 315-793-9600, Ext. 603.  You can also click here for more information on the Front Door.
